The Northern Rivers Premium Fine Dining Events and Functions Space. We’re proud to be deliver a world class dining and events and functions space in the heart of Ballina.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • For groups smaller than twenty no booking is required! You can book here. For groups larger than 20, simply send us a message at info@kelp-dorys.au

    For groups over 10, a credit card is required to secure the booking. Final numbers must be confirmed 12 hours before your event. If there are no-shows from the confirmed numbers on the day, a cancellation fee of $25 per person will be charged to your credit card.

    If you would like to book the entire venue, a $500 deposit will be required to secure the space.

  • We cater to all types of events and functions, including weddings, corporate events, birthdays, hen and buck parties, and more. Our team will work with you to make your event a success.

  • Kelp comfortably seats sixty patrons and has room for one hundred standing guests.

  • Absolutely! Our team offers canapés, offsite catering, set menus, and more. Simply send us a message below, and we can chat further.

  • If you book the entire venue on a night we are open, we have a minimum spend of $5,000. For full-venue private events outside of opening hours, we have a minimum spend of $3,000. For large group bookings during opening hours, please contact us for more information. We also offer custom specials depending on the size of your group. Please don’t hesitate to reach out for more details.

  • You’re welcome to come in prior to your event to put up decorations. We can assist with some of our own if needed.

  • We have a microphone, speaker, and full sound system available upon request. Please be aware that we need notified before your event for access to these. With prior notice, we can also provide a DJ or live music.

  • We do c.hat with our team for a custom package.

  • Groups over 15 will incur a 5% service charge..

  • Yes, we cater to all dietary requirements, including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. Please advise our staff 12 hours before your booking so our kitchen can accommodate these.

  • Yes, you sure can. We will charge a cakeage fee:

    • Cakeage: $3 per person (cake plated)

    • Cakeage with accompaniments: Price on application (POA)
